Formación Alcántara & Dominique Lacasa: "Solamente Nosotros", ist das zweite gemeinsame Album der Zwillingsbrüder Victor (p)und Rafael Alcántara (ss, voc). Die Beschäftigung mit ihren spanischsprachigen Wurzeln führte die Deutsch-Peruaner mit der Sängerin Dominique Lacasa zusammen, deren einzigartige Stimme dem Album in Duetten mit Rafael Alcántara eine neue Richtung weist.

Die aktuelle CD vereint instrumentale wie vokale Meisterschaft mit anspruchsvollem Songwriting, verbindet Jazz-/Welt- und Filmmusik und vermittelt dabei mit "Solamente Nosotros" -"Nur Wir"- Selbstbewusstsein sowie Bescheidenheit zugleich.

Die Zwillingsbrüder beweisen einmal mehr ihr kreatives Potential in ihrer Zusammenarbeit als Komponisten und Texter: Mitreissende Grooves, elegische Melodien, hypnotisierende Klänge und poetische Texte verdichten sich zu einem Album von großer Intensität.

In Dominique Lacasa hat Rafael Alcántara eine ideale Gesangspartnerin gefunden. Ihr kraftvoller wie inniger Gesang verleiht den den Stücken einen unverwechselbaren Klang, Gaststars wie der iranischen Tombak Spieler Mohammad Mortazavi bereichern das Album um pulsierende Grooves, während das Fundament der Band auf der hervorragenden Rhythmusgruppe ruht.

„Solamente nosotros“ es el segundo álbum común de los hermanos mellizos peruano-alemanes Victor (p, synth) y Rafael Alcántara (sax, voc). Su confrontación con sus raíces latinoamericanas los llevaron a conocer a la cantante Dominique Lacasa, de origen alemán-español, que junto a la voz de Rafael Alcántara los conlleva a una nueva dirección. El actual disco compacto une la maestría del trabajo instrumental y vocal con refinadas composiciones; reúne el jazz con world music y música para cine y transmite con el título „Solamente nosotros“ sencillez y valía personal a la vez.

Los mellizos demuestran una vez más su potencial creativo como compositores y letristas en trabajo conjunto: ritmos impetuosos, melodías melancólicas, sonidos hipnotizantes y textos poéticos de gran intensidad se concentran en su álbum. Rafael Alcántara ha encontrado una pareja musical ideal en Dominique Lacasa. Su vigoroso y ferviente canto concede a los temas un sonido inconfundible. Estrellas invitadas como el percusionista iraní de Tombak (tambor de madera) Mohammad Mortazavi enriquecen el álbum con sus ritmos palpitantes, mientras que el grupo se apoya en el excelente ritmo de batería, bajo y piano.

Their current CD unites instrumental and vocal mastery with sophisticated song-writing, it incorporates jazz, world music and film scores, and thereby conveys self-confidence and modesty at the same time with “SOLAMENTE NOSOTROS” – “ONLY US”.

The twin brothers demonstrate once again their creative potential, working together as composers and lyricists: Sweeping grooves, poignant melodies, mesmerizing sounds and poetical lyrics culminate in an album with great intensity.
